2021.12.08 21:34 Willing_Lynx_7437 Expansion and Contraction
Users burn Luna to mint Terra and burn Terra to mint Luna, all incentivized by the protocol's algorithmic market module.
When the price of Terra is high relative to its peg, supply is too small and demand is too high. The protocol incentivizes users to burn Luna and mint Terra. The new supply of Terra makes its pool larger, balancing supply with demand. Users mint more Terra from burned Luna until Terra reaches its target price. The Luna pool gets smaller in this process, increasing the price of Luna.
Luna is the variable counterpart to the stable asset Terra. By modulating supply, Luna's price increases as the demand for stablecoins increases.

2021.12.08 21:34 Practical-Lifeguard4 A General Guide To The World of Film Syncs
I started this group to showcase potential misleading information in the music scene. However, I feel there's a space for simply explaining some cold hard facts on certain topics. People ask me about how to get music in TV and film all the time, so, this is a general guide on how to get started, and clearing up popular misconceptions perpetuated by many marketing gurus.
Real quick, I am signed non-exclusively to two Nashville based film sync libraries. Washington Street Publishing and Incorporated Elements however, I have also been in several Christian owned libraries and since left as I feel the worship music scene is too limiting for my goals and style.
1) Money It is a common misunderstanding that once acquiring a film sync, you'll make a bunch of money, garner a bunch of clout, and actualize your first "break" in the industry. This is a horrid mindset that needs to be let go of immediately.
1,a) On average syncs pay from as little as $500 to a high end of $15,000. That being said, the most common ones you'll find with be for roughly $2,000, give or take. This more often than not is far from the amount you'll get.
1,b) It's standard for publishers to take 30, to even 50%. This is not ownership of your masters. It's a non-exclusive, usually year to year contract for the song to be in the library, and only applies to any income directly from placements secured by the publishing company.
2) Need for Music "There is a constant need for music, every day they need new tracks." Chances are if you heard someone hype you up by the sheer volume of music needed on a daily basis for massive Hollywood films, it's someone making money selling info, not making music.
Yes, there is a never ending need of music, because of the always releasing new content from tv shows, large YouTube projects, films, video games, ads, etc. This is only a half truth.
2,a) For every one song that is needed, there are hundreds, if not thousands of artists, at the ready, with dozens of albums waiting for placement. The songs and artists outnumber the available slots to an almost comical level. Not everyone is going to just get work trying to get it. Assume nothing.
3) Style Yes, sometimes a specific song is needed for a film, or show, but the majority of the work is custom instrumentals. This is not the same as writing, producing, and releasing music on YouTube and Spotify. It's essentially film composition, and if you don't no how to do that, you need to learn before wasting time and money on attempting to license music for tv and film.
3,a) Get a DAW that allows you to sync footage with your piano roll, and do some tests with stock footage, or remove the audio from a trailer, and try to score it. Even if you know how to, if you've never done it professionally, or consistently for other projects, you need to practice first. Don't get ahead of yourself.
3,b) College films are a good place to start, small youtubers/animators/game devs. Stop trying to run before you can walk over here. There is no magical way to go from wondering to making money with this next month. It does not happen.
4) Quality The music has to be top noth. There are terms, "radio ready" and "broadcast ready" sound. This means the song itself is quite literally, ready to be played on major rotation, or in feature films, etc. For major broadcast. Are you that good? It's a valid question.
4,a) I have made well over 1,000 songs in the last year. I have roughly 50 songs that are singed non exclusively. The majority of my music is instrumental, and I only have one song that's ever been approved for anything, that has vocals.
5) Social Media Your clout can not help you here. This has absolutely nothing to do with your YouTube account, insta, Spotify. nobody cares. Get it straight-- you do not even need profiles on these services. This is about a specific project, that is in need of a specific song. Imagine your song being perfect, exactly what's needed, but they deny it, and spend more time and money finding one just like it...but..has a verified 100k YouTube. How does that change the song, as heard, in the movie? Be realistic. Whoever says socials matter, has no idea what they are talking about, and is essentially a con artist.
6) Music Supervisor, Songpluggers, Sync Agents
6,a) A Music supervisor is the person working on the film, tasked with finding and licensing the music for the film.
6,b) A Sync Agent, is someone working at a music library, or who has and acquires music to be pre cleared to license out when a music supervisor is in need of music.
6,c) A songplugger is most often the role of someone who searches for unknown tracks, or has tracks written, to license out to other artists or companies in need of original music, lyrics, or any combination of musical production.
7) Cold emailing those mentioned above. DO NOT EVER DO THIS. READ IT AGAIN. NO, NO, NO, NO, AND NO. STOP. I do not care what Adam Ivy or anyone else on YouTube selling courses tells you. This is a one way ticket to being blacklisted, it can literally end your career before it begins. It's very serious.
7,a) Scroll back up and look at the two music libraries I mentioned, directly on the site, they say not to contact them. Think of it like a major label. You do not send submissions to them, they contact you.
7,b) Do not contact these people on any social media, and do not try to fool them into listening to your music. This is harassment, and cyber stalking. Again, hitting up a manager of Atlantic on LinkedIn doesn't change the fact you are contacting the label. Do not do it.
7,c) YOU WILL BE BLACKLISTED. I'M SORRY BUT I SEE THIS EVERY DAY IT'S THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL, MORONIC ADVICE ANYONE COULD POSSIBLY GIVE.
8) How to do it. Super simple answer you don't want to hear. You don't.
8,a) Get better, and make professional grade music, and be able to do it in less than an hour, over and over again, every day.
8,b) Worm your way into the industry. Attend film conventions, Make connections in person. Go to conventions showcasing new camera equipment, mics, lights, etc, network, network, network.
8,c) Pay to submit, and be mindful that it rarely does much of anything, and is usually a waste of time, and money.
That's it. Basically, be realistic, get good, and network. Sorry to break it everyone, that's all there is to know (in my opinion) I apologize if you've been mislead or told otherwise for someone else's finical gain, or to boost their metrics on a social media platform.

2021.12.08 21:34 GamerGuy1134 Controllers for ps classic adapter?
I have tried 3 off brand controllers all of which won't pair. I used a voyee ps3 knock off, a ps4 off brand one and a Gamesir G3S. I got my pro controller the authentic one and my ps5 controller and they both connected no issues. I have been looking for a legit ps3 or ps4 dualshock but they are hard to find online and in legit authentic versions. Does anyone know of any Playstation style dual stick controllers that will work with the 8bitdo ps classic wireless adapter that aren't the legit versions, or is there a compatibility list some where? Thanks in advance :)

2021.12.08 21:34 Xlcontiqu [Standard] A different take on Orzhov Midrange
After taking a brief hiatus from Standard, I decided to get back into it recently. Pre-VOW I had been playing an Azorius control list, but hadn't manage to get much traction after I hit Diamond. So when I returned to Standard I started to look at some tournament lists to figure out what I might like to play. I wasn't a huge fan of either of the mono-aggro decks or Izzet, but then I stumbled upon this deck by Moriyama Masahide. It was unique and interesting compared to the other decks that I saw and I decided to craft it and see what it could do. I just hit Mythic yesterday using it, unedited, with around a 73% win rate. Not all the matches I played were recorded, as I did use my phone for some games. I'm quite pleased with the success I found with it, so I figured I should share it here. Below is a breakdown of the deck and some of the meta matchups.
2x Valki, God of Lies
2x Intrepid Adversary
3x Henrika Domnathi
3x Edgar, Charmed Groom
4x Luminarch Aspirant
4x Silverquill Silencer
2x Hagra Mauling
4x Vanishing Verse
2x Emeria's Call
3x The Meathook Massacre
4x Wedding Announcement
1x Lolth, Spider Queen
2x Sorin the Mirthless
2x Cave of the Frost Dragon
3x Hive of the Eye Tyrant
4x Needleverge Pathway
4x Blightstep Pathway
4x Blightclimb Pathway
4x Shattered Sanctum
1x Pithing Needle
1x Lolth, Spider Queen
1x Baleful Mastery
2x Path of Peril
2x Ray of Enfeeblement
4x Archon of Emeria
4x Go Blank
The deck feels a lot like a Swiss army knife, with a huge number of ways to answer threats and several different paths to victory. The early game plan is to drop some early creatures and use your [[Wedding Announcement]] to pump out creatures and start drawing. As you transition to mid game, the anthems from Edgar and Announcement allow even your 1/1s to be threatening as well as pump out your creatures to be very selective about [[The Meathook Massacre]]. Depending on what you have out, often you can remove opposing creatures and only take a few of yours out in the process. The end game is either outvalue with board wipes and your token generation or use [[Henrika Domnathi]] to push in for the final damage.
[[Wedding Announcement]] is in most likely the biggest cornerstone card in the deck, as it allows you to get early creatures and card draw, is challenging to remove, and provides a boost to your creatures as you move into mid game. The continual value that you get from it means that even if they use removal to get rid of it, you've often already gotten way more value from it.
[[Edgar, Charmed Groom]] is another great token generation engine and I often try to take a favourable trade with him as early as possible. The incidental lifegain from the tokens allow you to survive slower aggro matches. The artifact side is very hard to remove and once it reflips you can often close out a game.
[[Henrika Domnathi]] is the other notable card, as she offers a lot of flexibility depending on the state of the game. Lifelink and deathtouch means you can flip her immediately if you need to gain life right off the bat, but you can also play slower and utilize her other tools. She's also great at closing out the game, as she becomes very hard to block with the anthems and can avoid most red removal once she's flipped.
Regarding Silverquill Silencer
This is one of the most difficult cards to use correctly. Many of the meta decks have several ways to remove it and it's quite rare that it's ability triggers. However, the fact that it's a 3/2 means it can sometimes trade up and at the very least draws removal. Depending on the deck, you can get some insane value, but you have to be very aware of what the opponent is using to make it work. I will often side them out as they don't do as well in games 2 and 3 because there's a larger variety of ways to deal with them, but they're great for snatching wins in game 1. I'll keep them in if I think I can get them to work, but often it's much harder post-sideboard.
7-0 against Orzhov. On my climb, Orzhov was the most frequent deck I saw and this far outclasses the other iterations out there. I never had an issue outvaluing them, as the combination of lots of removal and pump spells just means my creatures trade better. Henrika is quite good against them if you can get her to stick, as the lifegain just beats out any damage they can produce. The sideboard is usually pretty dependent on what flavour of Orzhov it is, but I usually go +2 Path of Peril, +1 Baleful Mastery, +1 Pithing Needle, and -4 Silverquill Silencer.
6-1 against Gruul. This is almost always the Gruul werewolves deck, which tends to be favoured post sideboard. Pre-sideboard can be a bit tricky due to not having Path of Peril, but Valki can be quite useful in messing up their curve and give you enough time to land an Edgar which will usually trade well with anything in the deck. Then once you get a Meathook you can usually finish them off. Trade as often as you can and don't be worried about losing creatures because you'll end up wiping them with Meathook anyway. Sideboard is +2 Path of Peril, +1 Baleful Mastery, and -3 Silverquill Silencer. Sometime I'll take out a Vanishing Verse if they're super into gold creatures or throw in a Pithing Needle if they use lots of man lands.
5-2 against Izzet. Usually nailbiters, but post-sideboard is much easier. You really need to play around their win cons and make sure you're holding up removal for Hullbreaker Horror around turn 6. Turns is usually not as much of a problem, as your lifegain should be pretty good at keeping you high enough to stay out of lethal. Be sure to remove their [[Galvanic Iteration]] with your [[Hive of the Eye Tyrant]] if you get the chance. Post-sideboard, draw their removal and try to make sure they're playing two cards a turn, so that a turn 4 or 5 [[Go Blank]] takes most of the cards out of their hands. I usually sideboard +4 Archon of Emeria, +4 Go Blank, and -2 Meathook, -1 Lolth, -1 Vanishing Verse, -4 Silverquill Silencer. It's a pretty tricky sideboard, but the Silencers lose their benefit after sideboard since more creature removal is usually sided in. I sometimes put in a Pithing Needle if there's an issue with Hall of the Storm Giants.
3-3 against mono-green, 0-2 against mono-white. The game plan for these two decks are pretty similar, just the mono-white matchup is much harder. Try to take favourable trades and wait for a board wipe. Mono-white is especially tricky with the taxes, so take out Thalia as soon as possible. I'll side in 2x Paths for both decks and 2x Ray of Enfeeblement for mono-white, taking out 2-4x Silverquill Silencers.
The deck feels pretty tight and runs quite well as compared to some of the other lists I've run. It's not too often that I feel that I don't have the answer to what the opponent is doing or an impactful play to make. The one card that I'm still on the fence on is the Silverquill Silencers, as their ability rarely gets used. However, I'm not sure there's a better slot, but maybe a 3-3 split of Valki and Silencers would be better. I'd also probably remove the Lolth in the sideboard and maybe add another Pithing Needle or Path of Peril. Pithing Needle is just so good at removing manlands and since you don't have a play turn 1, it doesn't cost too much to side in.
All in all, I definitely feel like the deck is well positioned in the meta and does quite well against the field. I'd be interested in hearing thoughts on what changes could maybe get made and would happily answer questions about my experiences using the deck.

2021.12.08 21:34 aitainjuredmom I don't wanna have to be the mom for 5 minutes
I'm 16 and my sisters are 5 and 2. My mom got hit by a car around 3 weeks ago and is pretty severely injured. She got home from the hospital like 2 weeks ago and my dad and I have been taking care of her.
I dropped out of all of my classes at school that aren't required to graduate or go to college because I need to pick my sisters up from preschool and kindergarten at 12 and get home to take care of my mom.
I don't even have my room as an escape anymore because my sisters are scared of our mom and at least 1 of them sleeps in my bed every night.
Taking care of my mom isn't too difficult. I mostly just bring her food, turn the tv on for her before I go to school, and give her her meds but I've been doing everything for my sisters and mostly everything around the house. I need 5 minutes where I'm not dealing with potty training bullshit or meltdowns or trying to deal with 2 clingy toddlers while I'm trying to make dinner.

2021.12.08 21:33 aliendividedbyzero Flight Medical - Mental Health (US and Canada)
Hi! I'm considering becoming a pilot, but I have concerns regarding the medical exam, and I don't want to waste my money if I cannot pass the medical certifications. I have the option of becoming licensed in the US or in Canada, so I'd like to know for both countries, if possible.
My main concern is I was misdiagnosed with bipolar disorder back in 2018 by a doctor I only saw twice. I have since been in treatment with a different psychiatrist who has been treating me for depression and ADHD, and has rejected that bipolar (mis)diagnosis multiple times. I'm working with her toward my goal of reducing medication and/or going off medications entirely.
My question: would the misdiagnosis mean my medical would be rejected?
